We are currently seeking to fill the following positions:

Sr. Landscape Architect/Proj. Manager with 10+ years experience within land development market.

 

The candidate selected for this position will support the managing partners to oversee the design direction for a large portion of the projects within the firm.  They will work directly with a majority of the design and engineering staff, and will be responsible for getting the project started and in the right direction, as well as seeing the project through completion in many cases. The position will also require the ability to prepare proposals which may require due diligence, investigation of the site and understanding its jurisdictional requirements. The candidate will also be involved in marketing efforts to expand our client base and branding exposure. Experience and abilities should include the following:

  • Possesses a high-quality, talented level of design creativity and expertise in master planning and design of large, complex design projects and processes.

  • Extensive project management experience of complex projects within various market types (i.e. Mixed Use, Commercial, Healthcare, Multi-Family, Park & Recreation, etc.)

  • Possesses the ability to lead and manage teams of 3 to 5 designers/engineers, with the passion to mentor and grow others.

  • Team oriented mentality that seeks to support the goals of the firm, other managers, and the managing partners.

  • Understands how to work within a team oriented environment within a multi-disciplined firm, as well as a variety of consultants.

  • Ability to interface with clients with strong skills in communication and aspires for excellence in service for our clients.  

  • It is desired that potential candidates have adept knowledge of permitting process for Mecklenburg County, City of Charlotte, and surrounding counties.

  • Licensed in North Carolina and preferably in South Carolina.

Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager with 10+ years experience within land development market.

 

The candidate selected for this position will support the managing partners to oversee the engineering direction for a large portion of the projects within the firm.  They will work directly with a majority of the design and engineering staff, and will be responsible for getting the project started and in the right direction, as well as seeing the project through completion in many cases. The position will also require the ability to prepare proposals which may require due diligence, investigation of the site and understanding its jurisdictional requirements. The candidate may also be involved in marketing efforts to expand our client base and branding exposure. Experience and abilities should include the following:

  • Extensive project management experience of civil engineering based projects in various market types including commercial, healthcare, multifamily, single family, industrial, institutional, and public-based projects.  

  • Can effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrates leadership in leading project teams of three to four team members across both disciplines.

  • Candidates must have adept knowledge of permitting process for Mecklenburg County, City of Charlotte, and surrounding counties, as well as experienced collaboration with local DOT agencies within a project scope

  • Advanced civil engineering knowledge-base of all typical design documentation and plan sets, calculations, scheduling, management of project fees, management of personnel, etc.

  • Highly skilled in stormwater and utility design.

  • Position requires experience utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with typical infrastructure engineering software.  

  • Candidates should provide project examples indicating strong knowledge of stormwater engineering, roadway layout, 3D surfaces, and advanced understanding of calculations. 

  • Licensure in North Carolina or South Carolina is required.

Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer with 5+ years in profession with strong design and planning experience within land development based projects. Experience must include the following: 

  • Moderate to experienced knowledge of design, planning, and landscape design, including master planning, site design, landscape and hardscape design, construction documentation

  • Strong understanding of grading and drainage calculations, permitting and setup of design documents including but not limited to demolition, dimension control, erosion control and grading/drainage plans.

  • Experience with site layout and site design

  • Position requires experience utilizing AutoCAD software, preferably with experience with LandFX, high-level experience and utilization within Google Sketchup and Adobe suites to create strong presentation renderings and graphics.

  • Strong familiarity of local horticulture and planting design within the North Carolina area.

  • Work experience in Charlotte-Mecklenburg area is preferred, but not required.

  • Licensure in North Carolina and South Carolina is preferred, but not required.
