Bloc Design provided a high level schematic design package and renderings for two separate sites for Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe, NC. Scope included design of four to six tennis courts, proposed pro shop, shelter design, water features, and parking areas. Both sites contained severe topography challenges, including one near an adjacent spillway for the primary pond in the golf course. Other challenges included helping the client navigate the water quality and detention requirements.

 

The high level schematic design included schematic layout, spot grading, and sizing of BMP's, which was necessary to help the client gain a full understanding of the amount of retaining walls needed, as well as impacts to site costs.
