Bloc Design provided the civil engineering and construction administration for the project which included grading and drainage of the area to improve stormwater conditions to allow for rapid accommodation of intense storm events, to minimize impacts and issues for patrons and vendors set up along the pathway's lawn area.

 

This was accomplished by multiple system components including surface grading with inconspicuously placed storm drainage inlets, custom soil blends to allow for a high rate of infiltration, an underdrain system, and custom designed storm drainage structures that allowed for other existing utility infrastructure to remain in place, thereby reducing the overall construction costs.
