St. Ann's Marian Garden

Location:
Charlotte, NC

The project consists of a new garden on the St. Ann Catholic Church and School campus honoring the Virgin Mary. The scope of work consists of a plaza space framed by masonry retaining walls centered on Our Lady’s Shrine, softened by layers of landscaping.  The plant palette was carefully crafted to focus on religiously significant plants, while also establishing foundation plants and allowing for seasonal interest. With a unique design approach, our team was able to create an amphitheater and preserved lawn space for use by the school. The central plaza is designed for daily quiet reflection and will also be used for ceremonies such as Mass. Design services include landscape architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, and construction administration. It is currently under construction.
