Bloc Design submitted documents to the City of Charlotte to rezone a 29 acre site for the development of 180 new townhomes and adjacent duplex community. This beautiful site is located off West Rocky River Road and is adjacent to a future Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation greenway along Toby Creek. The proposed project was complex due to challenging topography and existing streams and wetlands through the property. Bloc Design provided initial SITEOPS studies to evaluate the most optimal site plan layout and grading impacts, giving the client multiple scenarios to evaluate during the design process. Rezoning was approved in February of 2021 and is currently in construction documents.
