The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan community located in Matthews, North Carolina is planning a new facility in Matthews near Highway 74 and Highway 51.  The 14.5 acre site will be home to their new 35,000 sf community center and temple of worship.  The new facility provides significantly more space for their growing community, open spaces and plazas, and parking.  The project was approved last week by the Town of Matthews. It was the first rezoning approval using the most recent Zoom medium for public hearings. Bloc Design is providing civil engineering and landscape architecture design services, and is currently beginning design documents for anticipated construction beginning in Fall of 2020.
